I've been searching and no one seems to have found a solution, but I FIGURED IT OUT!  You need to convert the wordpress blog into a blogger xml file

 

Steps are below:

1. Go to your wordpress blog, export it from Tools. 

2. Go to http://wordpress2blogger.appspot.com/ and convert the xml file into a usable blogger xml file. But before you convert the file, the reason why the tool isn't converting is because your file is over 1 MB large.

3.   You have to open the xml file up and take out the last few posts (from tags <item> to </item> equals one post) to reduce the file down to under 1MB.  To see how large the file is, you can mouse over the xml file.

4. Once you've reduced the xml file to under 1MB, you can now import this new xml file into blogger.

5. Repeat steps, but this time add the chunks you deleted and remove the chunks you've already imported.
